Mr. Armijo couldn’t be happier to be one of the newest members of Kearny EID. English literature isn’t just a career to Mr. Armijo, it is a way of life. He has always been obsessed with stories and the power they possess. He can’t get enough of them whether they come from novels, comics, poetry, film television, or even music. He often is guilty of starting too many books at once! Some of his all-time favorites are…
George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four
Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot
Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451
...while his most recent favorites are…
James S.A. Corey’s Leviathan’s Wake
Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One
Though this is Mr. Armijo’s third year as a teacher at Kearny, you may have seen him elsewhere. He proudly served as a boys’ basketball coach. He is continually inspired by the amount of heart and dedication Kearny student-athletes display. His favorite animal in the whole world is the felis catus, and he just might root for the strangest selection of sports teams known to man (Lakers, Dolphins, Sharks, & White Sox).
